This was a short breakfast meeting, shared with members of the Queens County Club. The President, VE1CYP chaired the meeting. Twenty-eight members were present.
The minutes of the Club’s last meeting on January 14, 2000 were approved as circulated.
The secretary reported that there was no correspondence.
The treasurer, VE1GAM gave the financial report. At year end, there was $1779.32 in the General Account, $145.55 in the Repeater Account and $529.29 in the Ways and Means Account, for a total of $2454.16. The Treasurer also detailed the assets owned by the Club. Upon motion, the treasurer’s report was adopted.
There were no bills presented for payment.
VE1TA reported that because of the weather, he had not been able to visit the 147.090 repeater
VE1TA, our NSARA representative, reported that the association will meet the next day in Truro.
VE1MR, Bill, noted that HARC was producing a new Call Book this year and requested all updates be sent him.
It was noted the Halifax Flea market will be held at the Forum on June 2, 2001.
VE1TA noted that new call signs were needed for the new repeater sites in the County and asked for suggestions of call signs. He indicated the Executive would make the choice if nothing was said.
The 50/50 draw was won by a guest from Queens County Club, VE1WMC, Bill, at $46.25!
VE1BOB ? Bob Sutherland, President of the Queens County Amateur Radio Club thanked the Club for the invitation.
David George, VE1ASP, gave a very interesting talk and slide show on trunk tracking scanners.
